Local Cycling Groups
There’s lots of ways to participate in local cycling groups and get outside and have some fun. Check out the collection of local groups below.
- BAMBI is the Binghamton area’s online group and resource for everything from trail building to advocacy and group rides.
- Tioga Velo Club is the local racing and performance oriented cycling club. They hold weekly races on Tuesdays and Thursdays – April through October. The members also hold informal rides throughout the year. If you are looking to compete or want to improve your fitness/cycling skills, this is a great place to start.
- Southern Tier Bicycle Club (STBC) is the local recreational bicycling club. They hold many organized rides and events of varying distance, speed and terrain. You can find weekly rides to satisfy any level of cyclist – beginner to advanced. A great group of people.
- Wednesday Mountain Bike Group is an informal gathering of mountain bikers each Wednesday at varying locations. The group usually splits into a fast and slower group. The slow group has a no drop policy and is great for beginners.

Shop Rides
Friday Night Rides: We ride every Friday night from April 1st – October 31st. This is our more advanced mtb group ride. Unless otherwise listed the rides will leave from the shop at 5:30 and require a mountain bike. Some fitness is needed as all of our rides climb the surrounding hills. Many times we will split into a faster group and a more mellow group. This ride is a classic. Every week is something different and someplace new. The sights we get above the city are always well worth the climb to the top.
Sunday Sessions: On one Sunday of every month we have our Sunday Sessions ride. This is a beginner focused group ride. It is great for people who want to get comfortable on their first mountain bike, young kiddos who are ready to shred, or folks that are looking to get back into it after some time away. We love to travel to and explore our regions unique riding locations. Click here to go to our group page. You can stay up to date on the rides, locations, or Sunday Session events. If you are looking for a laid back ride with a fun atmosphere this ones for you!
Tuesday Cruiseday: Every Tuesday we have a laid bike ride through the city – often leading us to Otsiningo Park. Bring your hybrid, your road bike – even your unicycle if that floats your boat. This ride is social, fun, and open to everyone. Leave from the shop at 6pm.
